Alkira Lodge "could not have been in a better place"

“We write to express our thanks for the care shown to our father, Norrie Spicer, during the last 18 months of his life.

Our dad passed away on 1 June at Alkira and we were deeply moved at the exceptional level of care, compassion, and love shown to him by the nurses and staff.

He could not have been in a better place, not only at this critical time, but during the many months he was a resident following the loss of his dear wife and love of his life, our mum Audrey.

Our dad was always treated with respect by everyone at Alkira and particularly enjoyed the company of the nurses, kitchen staff and other residents.

As Christmas approaches, we have fond memories of our dad at the Alkira Christmas party last year - happy and enjoying the lights and decorations and eating ice cream.

Our note of thanks is overdue, but we didn't want this year to close without letting you know we will be forever grateful to all those at Alkira who made our dad's final chapter  on earth such a blessing.”
