Nurse Practitioner

About the Role - What will you do?
The purpose of the Nurse Practitioner (NP) is to provide comprehensive health care, sensitive to the needs of the residents across our 3 Residential Aged Care Homes, including advanced assessment, diagnosing, initiating therapeutic interventions and making referrals where appropriate. The NP will encourage resident choice in provision of care, complement and work collaboratively with the roles of the General Practitioner (GP) and multidisciplinary team and promote development of advanced nursing practice. The rapid access to health care will improve residents’ quality of life.
Registered Nurse

We are seeking experienced Registered Nurses to provide clinical leadership at our two homes in Taree. We are looking for motivated and energetic nurses with a commitment to providing quality care to our residents.
Essential Requirements:
Current AHPRA registration
Availability to work morning, afternoon, and / or night shifts
Commitment to contemporary aged care practice with an understanding of the principles of person centred care and dementia practice
Experience in a clinical leadership role with the ability to manage day to day clinical issues
Demonstrated ability to lead, manage, and mentor staff to provide quality care outcomes for residents
Sound knowledge of AN-ACC and experience in resident assessment and care planning
Assistant in Nursing | Care Service Employee (Residential Aged Care)

About the Role - What will you do?
Provide appropriate clinical care to residents in accordance with their needs assessment and nursing care plan
Assist residents with activities of daily living, such as, showering, dressing or other personally orientated tasks to facilitate a good quality of life for the residents
Ensure residents have the opportunity to make informed choices and decisions regarding their care and the services they receive
Accurately document resident's current condition and care needs
Maintain a clean and comfortable environment in the home
Hotel Services – Catering and Cleaning

Basic Job Function
Maintains a clean, comfortable and homely environment for the residents and see that adequate attractive meals are served for them at correct temperatures.
To be one of an integrated team to ensure that the residents in the facility are as contented as possible. Refer any unusual observations or problems to the appropriate Supervisor.
Communicates in a respectful manner to residents.
Empathetic with elderly and/or disabled people and is able to be calm and understanding in any dealings with them.
Willing to let people in their care make as many decisions of their own as is possible and is respectful of the resident’s dignity and self-esteem.
