Alkira Lodge

Set amongst the lush green surrounds of Bushland Place Retirement Village in Taree, Alkira Lodge provides care and accommodation for 91 residents in a homelike environment.

The home contains a modern and secure memory care unit that was recently opened for residents requiring dementia care. There are many outdoor areas for residents to relax and enjoy the landscaped gardens.

All rooms contain an ensuite bathroom with the rooms in the memory care unit  individually air conditioned. There are many areas within the home for residents to spend time together as a group, with friends or family, or some quite time alone.  

A wide range of lifestyle and wellbeing activities are offered to residents including regular concerts, entertainers, barbeques, art therapy, and the Music and Memories program to name just a few..

A sensory room is another feature for residents at the home. The ambience in this room is created by fibre optics, a bubble column, and soft music, providing a calm and relaxing environment for residents.

The home was one of the first in Australia to use the services of a Nurse Practitioner to  provide rapid access to primary health care, improving the wellbeing of residents and preventing hospitalizations.  The Nurse Practitioner compliments the experienced, dedicated, and professional staff that deliver quality care and services to residents in the home.

Room Pricing

Memory Care Unit: Single Room with Ensuite – 21.2 sqm in size

Rooms in the Memory Care Unit are quite large, light and airy with a sliding door allowing access to a small outside sitting area with table and chairs, adjustable low low  electric beds, built in wardrobes and shelving with lockable drawer, lockable bedside table, over bed table, nurse call system, electronic monitoring, television, telephone and internet connections, individual air conditioning, visitors chair.

Each room has its own spacious ensuite with vanity and open shower to enable suitable access for lifting and other equipment as required.

Maximum Price:

  1. Refundable Accommodation Deposit (RAD) - $340,000

  2. Daily Accommodation Payment (DAP) - $78.43

  3. A combination of the RAD and DAP

An example of a combination payment based on 50% RAD and 50% DAP is $170,000 plus a DAP of $39.22 per day.

 

Deluxe Room: Single Room with Ensuite – 19.4 sqm in size

Located in the newly built section, these rooms are spacious, light and airy with a sliding door allowing access to a small outside area with tables and chairs, adjustable low low  electric beds, built in wardrobes and shelving with lockable drawer, lockable bedside table, over bed table, nurse call system, television, telephone and internet connections, individual air conditioning, visitors chair and free domestic telephone calls.

Each room has its own spacious ensuite with vanity and open shower to enable suitable access for lifting and other equipment as required.
