A Heartwarming Visit from Old Bar Public School

On Thursday, 18th September, Banyula Lodge had the pleasure of hosting over 50 energetic and talented students from Old Bar Public School. The visit brought not only captivating performances but also a joyful atmosphere filled with laughter, smiles, and meaningful connections.

The afternoon kicked off with a spirited choir performance featuring popular songs such as Katy Perry’s Roar, Pink’s A Million Dreams, and the beloved Manly Ferry. The music filled the room, with residents clapping along and soaking in the lively energy.

Next, the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Culture Group presented a powerful and moving display of traditional dance. Through elegant movements and storytelling, the students celebrated Indigenous culture and native Australian wildlife, leaving a lasting impression on everyone present.

Beyond the performances, special moments unfolded as students engaged in warm conversations with residents, sharing smiles and companionship. The friendly and respectful interaction was greatly appreciated by all.

The visit concluded with a delightful morning tea, where students and residents enjoyed chocolate cake, lemonade, and hot beverages.
